Our Story

Italians will tell you it is not about what you own. It is about how you live. The long Sunday lunch. The table set with care. The dress worn again and again because it is perfect. La bella vita is not just a catchy phrase. It is a way of living with quality. Sono Chic was born from that belief - and from a simple frustration.

Italian-inspired goods in this country seemed to live at two extremes: mass-produced novelty that reduces a rich culture to a caricature, or inaccessible luxury that puts real Italian craft behind a velvet rope. There was nothing in between. Nothing that honored the heritage without losing the warmth. Nothing that felt both elevated and genuinely yours.

So I built it.

Most of what you will find here is fatto con cura, made with care. Some pieces are rooted in Italian craft traditions for their quality, materials, and the skilled hands behind creating them. Others are lighter - a little playful, knowing, and joyful.

None of it is here by accident. All of it carries the same intention: chosen with care, made with quality, and rooted in a culture worth celebrating.

Quality First

We believe Italian craft is not a luxury — it is a standard. Quality, natural materials, and intentional making should be accessible to everyone.

Sustainable Fashion

We believe that the best things should outlast the season and trend. We use natural materials where possible and sustainable packaging.

Value Heritage

We believe that Italian culture is deeper than the stereotype. Beyond the Sunday gravy and the big personalities lies a culture of extraordinary pride in craft, beauty, and the art of living well.

Meet the Founder

I’m Lisa, the founder of Sono Chic.

I hold dual Italian and American citizenship, and I have always lived between the two worlds - the warmth and heritage of Italy and the pace and ambition of New York. Both shaped me. Both live in this brand.

I am the kind of person who agonizes over the wrapping as much as the gift. I notice the weight of a fabric, the finish on a button, the way a candle smells when you first walk into a room. If you are like that too, you will understand why Sono Chic exists.

I started this company because too much of what I was seeing in the Italian retail market leaned into caricature and away from heritage. Italian culture deserves more than a punch line. It deserves to be represented with pride, depth, and accuracy; and the people who love it deserve products that reflect that.

Sometimes the right piece is something that makes you smile every time you wear it or the thing your friend cannot stop talking about after you give it to her. If it doesn't feel special, it doesn't belong here. I hope you find something that feels just as meaningful to gift as it does to keep.

Con amore,
Lisa
